Rental Services and Equipment Fees

Effective January 1, 2018

Overview

Services and equipment provided for non-institutional activities will be charged according to published rates. These services must be approved in advance by the Palm Desert Campus. If you have any questions, please contact Jack Macfarlane or (760) 341-2883, ext. 78105.

Rental Eligibility

  1. All applications must be made in the name of the responsible person or organization.

  2. Any permit granted for use for a public purpose is revocable at the discretion of the university administration at any time.

  3. If, at any time, either before or subsequent to the granting of the permit and prior to the use of any campus facilities, the PDC is advised by the local law enforcement agency or by another law enforcement agency that, in the opinion of said office or agency, the requested use of the campus facilites will necessitate the presence of a larger than ordinary number of law enforcement personnel, the PDC may deny, revoke, or cancel the permit at any time.

Renter will agree to be the contact person to ensure that his/her organization promptly reimburses campus facilities and California State University, San Bernardino for any damage sustained to the premises, furniture, or equipment because of the use or occupancy of said premises by his/her organization and to abide by and enforce the rules, regulations and policies of the campus facilities.


Pricing

The use of Palm Desert Campus facilities shall be limited to lawful purposes, and consistent with the educational and community service mission of CSUSB.

Indian Wells Theater

Outside CSUSB (per four-hour block minimum - no pro rata charges) $500




 
Single technician (per hour)
  • Overtime for personnel is 1.5 times regular hourly rate
  • Overtime for personnel on any holiday is 2 times regular hourly rate

Includes the use of screen, projector and computer for PowerPoint, video or similar display, PA system access with up to two microphones, speaking podium, presenter, lights configured for large ensemble performance, and up to 40 chairs and 6 music stands.

*Elaborate adjustments to either sound or lighting will incur additional costs. Costs to be negotiated by the PDC IT Team.
