The Broad is already an architectural landmark, with its honeycomb-like exoskeleton. The museum is home to the 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, one of the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide. With its innovative “veil-and-vault” concept, the 120,000-square-foot, $140-million building features two floors of gallery space to showcase philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad's comprehensive collection, including works by Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, Keith Haring, Cindy Sherman and Chris Burden. The collection also includes many L.A. artists.
Prior to the museum, we’ll stop for a no-host lunch at the famous Olvera Street or Philippe's French Dip restaurant!
