Palm Desert Campus Bookstore

The Coyote Bookstore at CSUSB's Palm Desert campus is located beside the newly renovated Student Union in the Mary Stuart Rogers Gateway Building. Besides textbooks, we provide emblematic gifts and clothing, including Palm Desert-specific items, school supplies, computer software, snacks and beverages, daily parking permits and bookstore gift cards.   • Monday - Thursday 12:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Six Week Summer First Term

  • Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Six Week Summer Second Term

  • Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The interterm hours for the two days before summer term starts will be 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Textbooks

Textbook information, including purchase and rental pricing, is available through MyCoyote, as well as on the bookstore website.

Parking Permits

The bookstore sells daily parking permits in 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day formats; the cost is $5 a day. They are effective the date of sale and cannot be sold for future dates. Multiple-day formats must be consecutive days. All permits are valid on both Palm Desert and San Bernardino campuses. Quarterly and annual permits can be purchased through the Parking Services website. Please contact Parking Services or PDC administration with questions about parking rules and regulations.

Renting Textbooks

Textbook rental is a great way to save money on one of your biggest college expenses; on average, renting your books will save you about 50% of a new book purchase. Not every book is rentable, but the "library" of rental titles is growing every term. If you have a rental account that you set up at College of the Desert, Copper Mountain College, or any other Follett-operated store, you don't have to create a new account. If you've never rented before, it couldn't be easier: just bring a valid government ID (driver's license, passport, etc) and a debit or credit card to use as collateral, and we'll set it up for you at the register. Even easier, you can set it up from home online at Follett's Rent & Save website.

Textbooks at the San Bernardino Store

If you are registered in a San Bernardino course (section 01-39) or an online course (section 70-79), your books will be located at the San Bernardino bookstore. If you wish to pick them up at the Palm Desert store, you may purchase them online through the San Bernardino website (www.coyotebooks.bkstr.com), select "In-Store Pickup" at checkout, and in the comment box request that the books be sent to Palm Desert. You will be notified by phone when your order arrives at the Palm Desert store. Contact the PDC bookstore with any questions.

Need digital? The Palm Desert bookstore sells an assortment of Windows and Adobe software with academic pricing. If you're in the market for a new computer, the San Bernardino store has a great assortment of PC laptops and Apple products, including iPads and iPods and all the accessories.
