Grammar Bee
The Second Coachella Valley Grammar Bee was a 60-minute TV
show produced for KCET by a group of California State University
San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus students.
The top winner received a $5,000 college scholarship.
Fern Field, EMMY-winning television producer, whose most recent
credits include five seasons of the hit USA series MONK and
Artist-in-Residence at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus, lead a group
of student production interns in creating the special, taped
at the Indian Wells Theater on campus October 2008.
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors competed against
each other in the show. During the course of the special, students
were asked to answer questions on grammar, punctuation, usage
and style in a fast-paced game show format.
