Upward Bound is a
college-oriented program
funded by the U.S.
Department of Education,
designed to motivate
potential
first-generation,
college- bound students.

Participants are the
first in their families
to consider
post-secondary
education. Applicants
must have completed the
eighth grade and be at
least 13 years of age,
but not more than 18
years of age.

The program provides
tutorial services,
career orientation and
an opportunity to
experience educational
development for high
school students within a
college setting.
