In July of 1996, skeletal remains were unearthed fromthe shore of the Columbia River in Kennewick,Washington. The skeleton was carbon dated between 5,650 and 9,510 years old. Important legal, ethical andscientific issues were raised by the discovery. This lecture will present a variety of points of view onthese issues, including federal law and the care of Native American human remains, how people firstcame to the Americas, and changing ideas about race. |

In this new, thought-provoking talk, the audience will uncover the hidden opportunities across our largest environmental problem areas. We will take a journey through Suburbia, Las Vegas and New Orleans and uncover how we are missing opportunities to save energy, water and money. |

Maestro Tim Bruneau and the California Desert Chorale ring in the spirit of the holidays with “Glory Shone Around: A Global Celebration of the Holidays.” The choral arrangements gloriously highlight seasonal traditions throughout the world, featuring accompanist, Denis Moreen, and the California Desert Chorale Children's Choir.This spring, Maestro Tim Bruneau helms the California Desert Chorale once again, culminating its 16th anniversary with "Schubee Doobee Doo: The Music of Schubert, Sondheim, Simon, Simon and Sinatra." The performance is an eclectic grouping of choral arrangements of five of the music industry's most famous icons. The performances dates are: April 8 and April 10, at 7 p.m., and April 11 at 3 p.m.
Cost: Tickets for the Spring concert are $25 at the door, $22 pre-ordered, and students $18 (with ID) (including parking).
