The parking staff patrols the Palm Desert campus
to protect the campus community and visitors from safety
hazards and suspicious activity, enforce parking regulations
by written citations and warnings, and provide support and
assistance to campus security and/or police. They may perform
services such as battery jumps and vehicle unlocks and they
secure campus facilities as
well as assisting in logistics for special events, directing
traffic, disseminating information and staffing the visitor
information center. They also provide training on crime
prevention awareness, participate in the emergency response
teams and respond to emergency situations.
