Report to
the Community:
- Our
Environment and Our Health
- will
be presented by Dr. Glen Grayman, president of HARC.
It is co-sponsored by Palm Springs
Institute for Environmental Sustainability and Health Assessment
Resource Center (HARC).
-
- HARC recently completed its first
health status assessment of eastern Riverside County in February and
March 2007 from some 50,000 telephone calls achieving 3,150 completed
responses. This first survey provided baseline data to our community
about demographic and socioeconomic characteristics and about health
status and health risks.
-
- In this
presentation to the community, Dr. Grayman reports on what the survey
suggests about asthma, physical activity and respondents’ concerns about
livable communities, including such factors of air quality, noise, parks
and transportation. Dr. Grayman will also provide information on
environmental aspects of our community’s health from other
sources.
