The Importance of JASON Workshops

The primary purpose of JASON Project professional development is to enable educators to use a multimedia approach to integrate JASON Project interdisciplinary curriculum, online systems, local aquatic field study, Project videotapes, suggested literature, and the Project broadcast into their existing school curriculum.

What We Hope Workshops Will Do:

To provide professional development programming and experiences that fulfills state, local, and JASON Project professional development standards and best practices.

alt To increase each educator's personal scientific, mathematical, and technical content knowledge and the application of science, mathematics, and technological concepts, processes, and skills to everyday life.

altTo provide experiential opportunities on the current year's JASON Project Project components so that the JASON Project's multimedia curricular materials and teaching methodologies may be effectively implemented in a variety of self-contained, specialized, and/or teaming educational settings.
