Each year, Dr. Ballard leads a team of scientists, students and teachers on a two-week journey to explore and study in research locations featured in the curriculum. Satellite and Internet technologies brings our Coachella Valley students into direct, real-time contact with scientists and researchers as the expedition is happening.
Last year an expedition called "The JASON XIV: From Shore to Sea live" allowed Coachella Valley students to follow along as a team of Host Researchers and selected Student Argonauts explored the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
