• Adventure Series: 8 to 12 hands-on activities exploring the region’s geography, geological history, human history, biology, ecology, conservation and careers. • Curriculum Extensions: 4 science activities that build on the Adventure Series and are designed to meet the needs of upper elementary and middle school classrooms. • Teacher Professional Development workshops at CSUSB-PDC or your school to introduce teachers to Immersion Presents, the curricula available, the website, and the live broadcasts. • Immersion Presents Web Site: interactive content including live expedition coverage, photo galleries, community features such as message boards and photo albums, interactive games and additional resources. • Live Expedition Broadcast: a 6-day event hosted by Dr. Robert Ballard is delivered to Immersion Presents sites live via satellite, Internet2 and the commodity Internet. DVDs of broadcast shows and highlights are available following the broadcast and are online at the Immersion Presents website. The highlight of each year is having YOUR class come to CSUSB-PDC to participate in the exhibit area and the broadcast. A Family and public Open House is held on the Saturday following the week of broadcasts to show both the exhibits and live expedition to the public. See the Adventure Series in the link below. |
