Immersion
Presents is a program being offered by the Palm
Desert Campus for middle school-age youth. The goal
of the program is to help children, especially those
at risk, become more fully engaged in the learning
process by linking them to scientific explorations
in the world’s oceans and the researchers who carry
them out. |

- Faculty on the
Palm Desert Campus provide training for the
region’s middle school teachers on how to use the
associated curriculum and introduce their students
to adventures to places like ship wrecks at the
bottom of the Black Sea and a hydrothermal vent
field. We rely on the donor support to make
programs such as this possible.
