- About the Speaker: Dr. Michael Toman is Director, Environment,
Energy, and Economic Development Program, RAND Infrastructure, Safety,
and Environment. Dr. Michael Toman's
area of expertise are climate change mitigation, sustainable
development, energy markets and energy security, and environmental
policy. His recent work has been in the areas of energy and national
security, expenditure and greenhouse gas implications of increased
renewable energy use in the United States, and options for effective and
publicly accepted policies for reducing greenhouse gases in the United
States.
